Research Projects for the Support of Faculty Members and Researchers (Project ID: 3591) Conclusions The study highlights the potential of alternative technologies for valorizing olive oil side streams within the bio- circularity philosophy Environmental impact : • All three technologies are comparable and acceptable in environmental performance • Overall comparison : • Each technology has unique advantages and disadvantages in industrial applications and food effects. • Benchmarking depends on process and final product requirements . Future research : • Needed to confirm feasibility. • To quantitatively compare economic viability and environmental impact against conventional extraction.
