3 • The broader influence of food safety culture (FS-culture) on overall organizational performance remains underexplored • The link between soft factors (leadership, values, behavior) and hard outcomes (operational efficiency, financial performance) is not well established in the food safety literature • Most studies focus on reducing quality-related costs , overlooking other performance dimensions There is a need for further research examining how food safety culture influences both financial and non-financial dimensions of organizational performance Motivated by this gap, the authors aim to develop a foundational framework that advances the conceptual understanding of these relationships Literature gap Jespersen et al., 2019; Spagnoli et al., 2024; Moschos et al., 2025
