Definition : Food safety culture is a long-term construct existing at the organizational level relating to the deeply rooted beliefs, behaviors and assumptions that are learned and shared by all employees, which impact the food safety performance of the organization (Sharman et al., 2020) Integrates : • Organizational culture: Artefacts, values, beliefs • Food science: Hazard identification, HACCP, risk management strategies • Social cognitive science: Behavioral intentions aligned with organizational values Research Growth : Yiannas (2009) and Griffith (2010) first introduced the concept of FS-culture, drawing on insights from organizational and safety culture research Recognition : FS-culture was embedded in GFSI standards (2018) , recognized as a core principle by the Codex Alimentarius (2020) , and incorporated into EU legislation (Regulation 2021/382) What is food safety culture?
