13 Hypotheses development Food Safety Culture and Food Safety Performance • FSMS alone cannot ensure food safety ; human behavior and shared values are equally critical • A strong FS-culture promotes consistent food safety practices and hygiene behaviors , whereas a weak culture increases risks • Empirical evidence shows that organizations with a mature food safety culture achieve higher food safety outcomes (e.g., compliance with legislation and third-party standards, improved laboratory results ) and experience fewer incidents (e.g., recalls, regulatory violations ) H1: Food safety culture positively influences food safety performance Griffith et al.
